Sprinkler & Irrigation Repair in Spokane

Most sprinkler companies are set up for heads, valves and controllers. When the problem is a mainline break three feet down, or a line crushed under a driveway, or you want a new zone run across an established lawn, they are working with a shovel. We show up with an excavator and a trencher.

What we handle

  • Mainline breaks and buried leaks — locating and repairing the actual pipe
  • Lines damaged under driveways, patios and parking areas
  • Trenching for new irrigation zones on established property
  • Running irrigation out to a garden, pasture, orchard or new landscaped area
  • Sleeving under hardscape so future lines can be pulled through
  • Repairing lines cut during construction or fencing work
  • Excavating around valve boxes and manifolds that have settled or flooded

The problem worth calling us for

If water is bubbling up in the lawn, your pressure has dropped across every zone, or your meter is spinning with the system off, you have a mainline problem rather than a head problem. That is a dig, not a repair kit, and it is the specific thing we are equipped for.

The same goes for adding a zone to a yard that is already landscaped. Hand-trenching a couple hundred feet through established sod is a miserable weekend. A trencher does it in an afternoon and leaves a far narrower scar.

Where we stop

We handle the digging half of irrigation. System design, controller programming, backflow certification and winterization blowouts belong with an irrigation company — if that is all you need, call one. When the problem is under the ground, call us.

Timing

Irrigation work runs on the opposite calendar from most excavation. Startups and repairs come in March through May, and problems surface again in September and October as systems get shut down. Those are also the months when the ground is often too wet or too frozen for much other excavation work, so we tend to have availability exactly when the sprinkler companies are busiest.

Related work

Irrigation trenching is close cousin to trenching and utility installs. If the underlying issue is that water sits in the yard rather than drains, see drainage and French drains.
